About Centrifugal Moisture Separators
Based on the impingement principle, our exclusive range of centrifugal moisture separators is ideally used to separate large quantities of oil and moisture droplets from the compressed air. The effective drainage system provided along with these centrifugal moisture separators ensures the easy removal of the separated oil and moisture from the collection sump.
Ideally placed after the after cooler in between pipe lines and at the outlet of the compressor at the coolest place on the pipe line, this product of ours is available in a wide range of ½ inch to 12 inch line size at an operating pressure of 16 kg/cm2. Moreover, we can also custom design these filters as per client-specific needs and requirements. Different types of centrifugal moisture separators manufactured by us are as follows:
- Baffle Type
- Demister Pad Type
- Centrifugal Type
- Centrifugal cum Demister Pad Type

High-Efficiency Moisture SeparationUtilizing centrifugal action, these separators effectively remove up to 99% of liquid and particulate contaminants from air and gas streams. The design ensures minimal pressure drop and guarantees the discharge of dry, clean air, protecting downstream equipment.
Durable, Low-Maintenance ConstructionManufactured from robust steel and finished with a maroon epoxy powder coating, the unit resists corrosion and stands up to industrial environments. With no moving parts or lubrication needed, maintenance is infrequent and cleaning is easily performed when required.
Flexible & Easy IntegrationAvailable in flanged or threaded end connections (conforming to ASME/ANSI standards) and sizes from 1/2 inch to 12 inches, these separators fit a wide range of pipelines. Custom sizes and models are also offered, allowing seamless integration into existing systems.
FAQ's of Centrifugal Moisture Separators:
Q: How does the centrifugal moisture separator remove water, oil, and dirt from compressed air?
A: The separator uses centrifugal action, forcing the air or gas stream to spin rapidly inside the unit. This action causes moisture, oil, and dirt particles to be thrown outward, where they are collected and drained, allowing only dry, clean air to exit.
Q: What are the installation requirements for these separators?
A: These units are designed for simple vertical mounting on the pipeline. They can be installed at any point where moisture removal is necessary, using either flanged or threaded end connections, compatible with ASME/ANSI standards.
Q: When should maintenance be performed on the separator?
A: Maintenance is minimal due to the absence of moving parts and lubrication requirements. Periodic inspection and simple cleaning are recommended to ensure consistent performance. Easy access design allows for quick maintenance as needed.
Q: Where is this separator best suited for use?
A: It is ideal for industrial facilities, manufacturing units, and plants handling compressed air or gases. Typical applications include automotive, pharmaceutical, food processing, and general industry, where dry, contaminant-free air is essential.
Q: What is the process for cleaning the centrifugal moisture separator?
A: To clean, simply access the separator's internal collection area-no special tools or lubrication are needed. Draining accumulated moisture and wiping away dirt ensures the unit continues to operate at maximum efficiency.
Q: What are the main benefits of using this separator in a compressed air system?
A: Key advantages include significantly reduced equipment corrosion and downtime, improved air quality, and protection for sensitive downstream equipment. The system is energy-efficient, requiring zero power and generating no noise during operation.
