About Foot Padel Valves
Foot Padel Valves
Foot valves are an inexpensive way to prime a single centrifugal pump. The Foot Valve is designed with a 10% larger flow area (including heavy stainless steel strainer) than the pipe size to insure minimal head loss. Since Foot Valves are continually submerged in the wet well and not readily accessible for inspection or repair, it is important to select a Foot Valve of high quality long wearing construction.
Foot Valves are such valves and have heavy cast iron bodies, rugged bronze internals and most importantly they have drop tight resilient seating to guarantee no loss of suction. The resilient seal is compression molded (not glued or chemically bonded) onto the seat for long life. Ratings 125# & 250# class

Durable Construction for Challenging EnvironmentsCrafted from top-grade metals such as cast iron and stainless steel, our foot padel valves are engineered for longevity and resistance to corrosion. The anticorrosive epoxy coating provides additional protection, allowing the valves to perform reliably even in harsh industrial or outdoor environments.
Efficient and Versatile Flow ControlThe unidirectional, single-plate structure ensures precise and consistent flow control of various media, including water, oil, gas, and other industrial fluids. Compatible with both flanged and threaded end connections, these valves can be seamlessly integrated into existing pipelines for efficient operation.
Designed for Easy and Safe InstallationIntended for vertical installation, our valves accommodate a wide range of port sizes from 1/2 inch to 6 inch. Their moderate weight and compact design make handling and installation straightforward, while the anti-leakage seal materials (Nitrile Rubber/EPDM) enhance operational safety.
FAQ's of Foot Padel Valves:
Q: How are foot padel valves installed, and what installation position is recommended?
A: Foot padel valves should be installed in a vertical position to ensure optimal unidirectional flow and prevent reverse movement of fluids. Both flanged and threaded connections are supported, allowing flexibility in pipeline integration.
Q: What are the primary applications of these foot padel valves?
A: These valves are used for flow control in water supply, oil transfer, fuel lines, and various industrial fluid systems. Their robust construction also makes them suitable for both gas and oil media within industry-standard pipelines.
Q: When should I choose a valve with a nitrile rubber seal versus one with an EPDM seal?
A: Select nitrile rubber seals for oil and fuel applications due to their resistance to hydrocarbons, whereas EPDM is preferred for water and steam media owing to its excellent compatibility with oxidizing fluids.
Q: Where is the best place to use these valves within a pipeline system?
A: These foot padel valves are best suited at the suction side of pumps or at pipeline inlets, where they prevent backflow, maintain prime, and protect equipment from potential damage caused by reverse flow.
Q: What is the benefit of an anticorrosive epoxy coating on the valve body?
A: The anticorrosive epoxy coating extends the valve's working life by shielding it from chemical and environmental corrosion. This makes the valve ideal for use in industrial and outdoor settings where exposure to moisture or chemicals is common.
Q: How do I operate foot padel valves, and is manual operation simple?
A: These valves are manually operated and designed for straightforward use. The simple actuation mechanism allows easy opening and closing, making maintenance and operation hassle-free.
